General English Language Study
Study English at JPLI!
Our General English program is taught by experienced and highly motivated native speakers of American English. Each section of the course consists of eight two-hour sessions. Depending on the specific program of the student, classes will either meet twice a week over a span of four weeks or once a week over a span of eight weeks.
The English-language program at JPLI includes all levels: introductory, intermediate, and advanced. Each level is typically divided into four sections, focusing on the four language competencies: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Upon completing each section, students advance to the next level of study. The curriculum is custom-designed, and the number of sections offered can be adjusted based on students' needs and proficiency levels.
Courses are available to students of all ages, backgrounds, and proficiency levels. A course placement interview is required before formal acceptance into the program. This will ensure that students are placed in the class most adequate for their level of proficiency.
