Our Greek language and culture program provides you with a deeper understanding of the language, its modern use, as well as some elements of its history, and overall will enrich your intellectual and culture life, opening up new opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Program specialties

• Classes are typically limited to three to five students per instructor, allowing for greater in-person interaction and attention.
• Each section consists of eight two-hour sessions, held once or twice per week, and can be completed in either eight or four weeks. Upon completing the section, students can then enroll in the next level of that section.
• Classes are taught by qualified and experienced Greek-speaking native or near-native instructors.
• Students who achieve a score of eighty-five or above may receive a certificate attesting to their proficiency in the language.
• The JPLI offers CEFR exam preparation courses to help students demonstrate mastery of various proficiency levels in Greek.
• Tuition is priced at 629 dollars per every completed section of sixteen in-class hours. There is a one-time sixty-five dollar registration fee.
• The JPLI offers a three-percent tuition reward to students who score at least a ninety overall in their class, encouraging them to continue their language development.
• Student internships or work study programs are available to qualified students.

- Incorporating Modern Greek successfully in their day-to-day lives, be it to interact with family and friends or use it when traveling abroad.
- Forming a foundation to later study Classical Greek as well as better understand the long-lasting impact of Greek-speaking culture on the Western world overall.
