SPECIALTIES

• Classes are typically limited to three to five students per instructor, allowing for greater in-person interaction and attention.
• Each section consists of eight two-hour sessions, held once or twice per week, and can be completed in either eight or four weeks. Upon completing the section, students can then enroll in the next level of that section.
• Classes are taught by qualified and experienced Spanish-speaking native or near-native instructors.
• Students who achieve a score of eighty-five or above may receive a certificate attesting to their proficiency in the language.
• The JPLI offers CEFR exam preparation courses to help students demonstrate mastery of various proficiency levels in Spanish.
• Tuition is priced at 629 dollars per every completed section of sixteen in-class hours. There is a one-time sixty-five dollar registration fee.
• The JPLI offers a three-percent tuition reward to students who score at least a ninety overall in their class, encouraging them to continue their language development.
• Student internships or work study programs are available to qualified students.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Advanced Spanish courses provide a review of basic structures, and an expansion of patterns, vocabulary, and idioms though discussion and composition. Through a comparative analysis of selected literary works, this course develops an awareness of cultural and literary contributions from twenty-one Spanish-speaking societies. The course is instructed in Spanish with an emphasis on composition and academic discussion as mediums of expression.
