Objectives
The Study in China Program is dedicated to:

Promoting cultural and educational exchange between students and Chinese communities.
Fostering international friendships through shared learning experiences.
Providing students with the opportunity to study Mandarin language and Chinese culture directly in China, in an immersive environment.

The program is open to all learners, regardless of prior knowledge of the Chinese language.

Short-Term Programs

Duration: 2 to 8 weeks
Designed for students seeking an intensive introduction to Mandarin and Chinese culture.
Includes language classes, cultural workshops, and guided field trips.

Long-Term Programs

Duration: Semester-based studies
Ideal for students who wish to achieve deeper language proficiency and cultural understanding.
Participants may also engage in academic projects, research opportunities, and extended cultural immersion.

Summer Program Itinerary

Short-Term Program
Two-Week Summer Program ( July 24 – August 7, 2026)

Students will reside at the Confucius Institute campus in Xi Shan, located near the Great Wall in Beijing. This unique setting provides both an academic and cultural immersion experience.

The Beijing Program (北京) is designed to deepen students’ understanding of the city’s importance as China’s capital and its central role in East Asia. By blending cultural studies with social sciences, participants explore Beijing’s historical, literary, and political-economic dimensions.

Program Highlights

Language & Culture Classes – Daily lessons to improve Mandarin proficiency and cultural knowledge.
Immersive Field Trips – Visits to iconic landmarks, traditional neighborhoods, and world-class museums.
Hands-On Projects – Activities that encourage independent exploration, critical thinking, and cross-cultural collaboration.

Long-Term Program
Each year, thousands of international students from around the world enroll in Chinese language and culture programs at universities across China.

The College of Chinese Language and Culture features a distinguished faculty composed of professors and associate professors, many of whom hold doctoral degrees in fields such as Chinese language, foreign languages, education, psychology, philosophy, history, and finance. With their high level of academic expertise and commitment to quality instruction, the College has earned recognition both nationally and internationally.
