INTENSIVE ENGLISH
------------------------------------------------------------------ Are you interested in an English course that offers you some time for sightseeing and comprehensive classroom work? A General English course offers the balance to enjoy your destination and finish your course with a higher level of English. The General English program concentrates on communication skills in English for everyday situations. All General English courses are 15 full hours lessons per week, plus additional self-study. This comprises 10 lessons per week of core language and skills studies, and 6 lessons per week of practical development and projects to develop your English in an informal way. These may include areas such as American culture, literature, business English, and specialized vocabulary and grammar. |

COURSE MODULES
■ Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing These four core skills are practiced along with grammar using a weekly class topic ■ Reading Skills Students will read stories, reports and news articles to understand and practice useful language and develop new vocabulary ■ Writing Skills Students will complete different tasks to learn how to write sentences, paragraphs and essays ■ Audio-Visual Students will watch and discuss Australian, American and British television programs to learn to listen for general and detailed meaning ■ Computer Assisted Learning Students will use computer language learning programs to develop vocabulary and other English language skills |
STRUCTURE - GENERAL ENGLISH
■ Course level Introductory - Advanced ■ Lesson Length Each session is 2 hours long, and we will meet twice a week for 4 weeks for each section. * Students will be evaluated to determine their proficiency level and numbers of the section before being accepted into the program ■ Class size 3 - 5 students
