The JP Language Institute offers a wide variety of English courses to help our students achieve their specific goals. These classes include Intensive English for students who are looking to develop an advanced level of proficiency in a short period of time, TOEFL Preparation for international students who hope to attend college in the United States, English for Business for students who want to improve their English to improve their professional lives, Standard English for students interested in improving the overall quality of their English in general, as well as Language Practice and Private Tutoring for students with more individualized learning goals.

Intensive English

​Our Intensive English Course is for committed students who are looking to improve their English as quickly as possible. Classes meet five times a week for two to three hours at a time. Intensive English is recommended for students who want to reach a specific goal within a short period of time. Students have used this Intensive English Course to prepare for upcoming citizenship tests, job interviews, and academic exams. The class is very fast paced. Instructors work diligently with their students and students are expected to keep up with the material.

English for Business

Are you interested in improving English for your job? Perhaps you are looking for a promotion or want to expand your business. Our English for Business classes specializes in using English in a professional workplace environment. Key course topics include discussing business with co-workers, supervisors, and employees; mastering important financial terminology; developing confidence in public speaking; and presenting new ideas in English. Instructors work to adjust the curriculum to meet students' professional interests, teaching students essential vocabulary and phrases that can benefit them in their professional lives. Classes meet twice a week for two hours on weekday evenings after the standard business day.

TOEFL Preparation

​Hoping to pursue your education in the United States or abroad? International students who are interested in attending colleges and universities in an English-language environment may be interested in taking the TOEFL exam. This internationally accredited exam is taken to determine non-native speakers' level of English proficiency​ and is recognized by most universities in the United States and throughout the world. Students who are interested in taking this exam can enroll in our preparation course.  We ensure that students not only master the basics of social communication in their daily lives, but also work to increase students' abilities to express themselves through academic language through writing and conversation.

General English

For students interested in our General English program, we cover a wide range of topics. Courses are available for students of all ages and levels of proficiency, ranging from beginner to advanced. Each class is two hours long and incorporates the four main components of language: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Classes can either meet twice a week over a span of four weeks or once a week over a span of eight weeks, depending on the specific trajectory of the student. Correct pronunciation is heavily emphasized and students are taught all of the necessities for life in an English speaking country, as well as the essentials of English-speaking culture and literature. Students' progress will be evaluated consistently to ensure the continuous development of the students' linguistic capabilities.
