ELIGIBILITY

Short-term study is open to individuals aged 8 years and older.
long-term study is available for those aged 15 years and older.
All participants must be in excellent physical and mental health, and demonstrate qualities such as maturity, flexibility, and adaptability.
Additionally, candidates should be willing to actively engage in Chinese society and potentially with host families.
Prior proficiency in the Chinese language is not required for enrollment. However, candidates may undergo interviews conducted by the Programs' office to evaluate their qualifications and suitability for the program.

HOW TO APPLYTo apply, kindly submit the following documents to JPLI at [email protected]:

JPLI application form
School transcript
Three letters of recommendation*
General health form
Copy of US passport
Two copies of US passport photos (submit in-person)
Application fee** (submit in-person or via Zelle/Paypal at [email protected])

*Letters of recommendation should be obtained from school teachers or other reputable sources familiar with your academic or professional abilities.
**The application fee may be paid in-person or through Zelle/Paypal to [email protected].

**$65 application fee for JPLI students. $185 application fee for non-JPLI-students.
***Successful applicants must complete the tuition payment within 5 days of admission.

ORIENTATION
Participants are required to attend all orientation activities associated with their program, covering pre-departure and registration information. Information on the date and location will be sent via email.

HOUSING
Housing options range from accommodation in University / School Dormitories to Hotels. Housing costs may be paid to JPLI (in the Program Fee), or directly to a partner school. Please refer to individual programs to find out more about what type of housing is offered.
