Our General English program is taught by experienced and highly motivated native speakers of American English. Each section of the course consists of eight two-hour sessions. Depending on the specific program of the student, classes will either meet twice a week over a span of four weeks or once a week over a span of eight weeks.
The English-language program at JPLI generally includes three levels of mastery: introductory English, intermediate English, and advanced English. Each level is typically divided into four sections, focusing on the four language competencies: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Upon completing each section, students advance to the next level of study. The curriculum is custom-designed, and the number of sections offered can be adjusted based on students' needs and proficiency levels. Courses are available to students of all ages, backgrounds, and proficiency levels. A course placement interview is required before formal acceptance into the program. This will ensure that students are placed in the class most adequate for their level of proficiency. |
