Our General English courses are available for students of all ages, backgrounds and proficiency levels. New students will be interviewed by one of our English instructors and placed into the most suitable class for them. Our English classes emphasize communication skills and also focus on reading and writing. Since many of our English Instructors are bilingual, it is even possible to learn English with a speaker of your native language.
■ Topic Based Learning
Classes are centered around practical topics so that students are able to use English in their everyday lives. Topics include: giving directions, making purchases, expressing emotions, etc.
■ Reading Skills
Students are required to read stories, reports and news articles in order to learn new vocabulary, familiarize themselves with English grammar, and improve their reading comprehension skills.
■ Writing Skills
Students will gain a deeper understanding of English spelling and grammar by expressing themselves through writing.
■ Listening Skills
To help develop and/or improve auditory understanding of the language, students will watch and discuss a variety of English television broadcasts from different English speaking nations such as the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom.
■ Speaking Skills
Our classes greatly emphasize communication skills. During class, students are encouraged to engage in extensive conversations with their classmates and teacher.
