ABOUT OUR OFFICIAL CERTIFICATE The certificate is awarded to students who successfully complete all required courses for each proficiency level (~64 hours) . The courses in this program are continually updated and rotated in the summer, spring and fall. Those who complete the certificate program may choose to pursue further studies in college and/or enhance their career for better capabilities and opportunities. |
Who are Certificate Students?
- Most students at JPLI (~78%) are working and/or studying full-time while pursuing a certificate.
- The average age of a certificate student is ~26.
- ~53% of certificate students have a Bachelor's degree or an advanced degree.
- Most pursue a certificate for professional reasons. However, many also use it for AP and/or college credit.

Getting Started
Once qualified, no formal application is required. The certificate may be requested upon completion of all required courses with satisfactory grades. Please request the certificate within 30 days of when you are notified of your grades.

Attendance Requirements
Students must complete three sections within one year from the first day they start taking courses. Please refer to the chart below for information on potential start dates.

Grade Requirements
Students must earn a grade of B, B+, A-, or A in a given course in order for it to count towards the certificate. Courses in which a student has earned a grade of B- or below cannot be considered for a certificate at this time.
