Introductory Spanish
The Introductory Spanish program consists of four sections (SPAN101, SPAN102, SPAN103, SPAN104), each of which lasts eight weeks with two-hour sessions every week.
The introductory curriculum focuses on essential conversational, listening, writing, and reading skills. Students will explore important topics such as greetings, personal introductions, numbers, days of the week, months of the year, shopping, directions, and medical assistance. Basic grammar, including verb conjugations, will be extensively covered. After completing all four sections, students will have developed a solid foundation in communication skills that can be used within a Spanish-speaking community. In addition, their skills will be equivalent to Novice High level or A2B1 of CEFR's standard. |
